Root canal procedure
The infected pulp (nerve) is removed with special tools. The canals (small channels inside the tooth) are cleaned and irrigated with a disinfectant solution and once the tooth is clean, the canals are filled with a permanent material.
Subsequently, your dentist will evaluate the remaining dental structure to decide on the placement of a permanent restoration.
